The Young Archaeologists’ Club (YAC) is the only UK-wide club for young people from the age of 8 up to the age of 16 who are interested in archaeology. YAC’s vision is for all young people to have opportunities to be inspired and excited by archaeology, and to empower them to help shape its future.

Here at the Brecon Beacons National Park, working with CBA Wales, we identified a gap in Young Archaeologists’ Club branches in our area and decided to set up our very own group!

With the new Brecon Beacons Young Archaeologists’ Club you will embark on an adventure into the past with  and take part in exciting activities and trips!

From learning how Ancient Egyptians mummified the dead to investigating the archaeology we have on our doorstep in Wales, you’ll have the chance to explore history, discover archaeology and bring the past to life!

On this blog you can find out about the club, about our past sessions, how to join and all about the volunteers who run the club.
